About the cruise

A sailing cruise from Marmaris on the Aegean Sea is perfect for those who want to capture as many unique locations as possible and enjoy an authentic yachting experience. The route is designed by a team of experienced sailors and passes along some of the unique locations that are ideal for sailing. Prepare yourself to explore different corners of Turkey, fall in love with scenic views, embrace gastronomic adventures, and, of course, have a real yachting experience.

Itinerary of the cruise:

Marmaris is a marvelous resort town and one of the most popular departure places for sailing cruises. It is home to several major marinas where, during the high season, yachting life flourishes like nowhere else. On your chosen day of departure, one of these marinas will have your sailboat moored and ready to take you on a real adventure.

Check-in on the yacht or catamaran usually takes place around 14:00. By that time, you can shop for groceries for the upcoming week, exchange some money for Turkish liras, and finish all the chores on land. We recommend that you go to the store at once with a well-planned grocery list so that you don't waste time sorting it all out in different stores. Once you get on the boat, you will meet the captain, get a safety briefing, and begin to gradually get acquainted with your new home for the vacation.

The afternoon and overnight stay will be spent in Marmaris, heading for the next anchorage only in the early morning. You can spend the whole evening on the boat, preparing for future adventures, or have your first vacation dinner in one of the local restaurants. Whatever you choose, we recommend that you finish the day with a stroll around the old town and the waterfront.

In the morning, you will head out from Marmaris to the first point of interest, the small Ciftlik Bay. This place is famous for its clear, azure water, making it ideal for swimming. There is also a part of the Carian Trail, bordered by long vineyards, enchanting pine forests, and sprawling olive groves. We highly recommend taking a couple of hours to hike the trail, enjoying the scenic views.

In the afternoon, you will leave the Ciftlik and proceed along the southern coast of the Bozburun Peninsula to Bozukkale Bay. Besides offering an awesome place for snorkeling and practically untouched nature, this place has some interesting sights and places to visit. At sunset, you can stroll along the ancient city walls of Lorima and explore several abandoned piers and ancient stone houses. We recommend having dinner at one of the local restaurants at the end of the evening, some of which have the unique characteristic that they can only be reached by water.

As usual in the morning, you will head out to the sea and sail to the next location — the small village of Orhaniye, located at the mouth of Hisaronu Bay. The main attraction of this place is the 600-meter-long sand spit of Kyz Kumu, which makes it attractive for many travelers to anchor near Orhaniye. The spit consists of a sandy path dividing the bay into two parts. The waters here are shallow and do not rise above knee level, so it is absolutely suitable for an easy stroll along the bay.

After that, by night, you'll arrive at Bencik Bay's overnight anchorage, where you can dine aboard a boat and get a good night's sleep surrounded by nature.

Bencik is a narrow and long bay rich with all kinds of natural attractions. This place was literally made for restful strolls through the mountains and swimming in the clear waters. It is here that you can capture the magic moments of the morning and visit the village of Selimiye by lunchtime, where you can spend the rest of your day. This small village is famous for its special character. During the anchorage, we suggest trekking to the old lighthouse, the ruins of an ancient theater, and a medieval monastery, and then concluding the day with dinner in one of the local restaurants.
On that morning, the captain will suggest leaving the exploration of the local coves for a couple of hours and offer to head somewhere closer to civilization. Bozburun is a small town of approximately 2,000 inhabitants, formerly only accessible by sea. Here you will spend the first half of the day and have the opportunity to replenish your food supplies and change some money, if necessary. You can also take a stroll through the center of the town and see fragments of the ancient city of Loryma.

Once all the chores are done, you can proceed and head back closer to nature, to Serce Limani Bay. This place is hidden in the middle of the mountains and cliffs, and because of that, it has a particular kind of charm. Here you can also explore the area during a little trekking session, swim at sunset, and spend the rest of your time gazing at the delightful starry sky.

The penultimate day of your cruise you will spend in Kumlubuk Bay. This is a quite popular place near Marmaris, which is famous for its beautiful beaches, clear water, and scenic views. You can spend the first part of the day just lying horizontally and sunbathing, or, for example, you can add a little extreme to your holiday and rent a jet ski.

Around Kumlubuk there are quite a few beautiful and interesting mountain trails, passing through coniferous forests as well as olive, orange, and almond groves. You can take an easy trekking trip along one of the trails and arrive in half an hour at the neighboring bay of Amos, where parts of the ancient city can still be found.

You will spend the night in Kumlubuk and spend your last evening in the middle of coves, islands, and an infinitely vast sea.

Early in the morning, you will embark on a longer sail; during that time, you can share your impressions with the rest of your cruise group and try to reflect on everything that you have experienced over the past week. By the afternoon, the yacht will arrive at the Marmaris marina, right at your starting point. On your last evening, we suggest taking a rest from the boat and the sea and getting out on land. Enjoy the evening panorama of the city, eat plenty of fresh seafood and fish in the nearby restaurant, stroll through the local bars, and buy some souvenirs for your loved ones.
Your wonderful yacht cruise has come to an end. Around 9:00, you will bid goodbye to the captain and end your unique yacht voyage.

Of course, because charter cruises are suitable for everyone and don't require any special preparation. During the trip, the captain will guide you and help you dive into the world of yachting. And if you have any questions before the cruise, your personal manager is always there to answer them.
It is the same as with any other vehicle you rent. You leave a security deposit of between €1500 and €5000 before the cruise, and you can get it back as soon as the voyage is over. The more expensive the boat, the higher the deposit.
This cruise is personalized, so there will be no problem changing your itinerary. You can discuss a more convenient departure point or consult regarding stopovers with your personal manager. The manager will review the route with the captain and suggest alternatives.
The trip takes place on the sea coast of Turkey, where even during the winter, the air temperature usually does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius and the sea cools down rather slowly. The primary yachting season starts in April and ends in late November. But even during the remaining four months, there are plenty of activities for travelers to do besides swimming and sunbathing.
Our team is partnered with some of the toughest and most professional sailors who have been cruising with travelers from all over the world for many years. They know everything about Turkey, will guide you to unique locations, recommend various activities, and if you wish, they can teach you how to sail.
All cruise participants are welcome to try themselves as real yachtsmen or women and become a ship's mate for a while. All you need to do is express your wish to your captain and actively participate in the whole sailing process: help with mooring, try your hand at tying special knots, hoisting the sails, and steering the boat.
During the cruise, there will be several large sailings ranging from two to six hours and many small crossings from one location to another. The cruise is balanced in such a way that there will be plenty of time on land as well as on the waters.
The itinerary of a yacht cruise is designed to avoid high waves and difficult sections as much as possible. But a cruise wouldn't really be a cruise without seasickness. So be prepared for motion sickness, take into account the recommendations of the captain, and take with you a pack of Dramamine. Even those who have never suffered from such issues can feel seasick. The good news is that after a couple of days, the body adjusts to the new conditions and makes crossing the sea easier.
For a whole week, your actual home will be a yacht or catamaran, so you'll spend most of your time there. Specifically, eating, lounging, enjoying yourself, and, of course, sleeping. All boats have fairly comfortable cabins, where you'll spend the night.
On the very first day before you get on the boat, we suggest purchasing all the groceries you'll need, which can be replenished during your stopovers in the cities. Usually travelers prepare breakfast and lunch on the boat and dine at restaurants during the anchorages.
Before the cruise, your personal manager will send you recommendations regarding things you should take with you on the cruise. Our main advice is to avoid bringing bulky items and large suitcases.
