About the cruise

A private cruise from Fethiye to Kaş is a journey that will be of particular interest to those who admire ancient history. The itinerary of the cruise is compiled by a team of experienced yachtsmen and includes stopovers not only along picturesque locations on the Turkish coastline but also visits to the ancient Lycian cities. On this cruise, prepare to be amazed by history and enchanted by nature. For one week, the boat becomes a time machine, all participants turn into explorers, and the cruise serves as a unique voyage that helps to discover Turkey from a whole new perspective.

Itinerary of the cruise:

Fethiye is a beautiful city on the Turkish Riviera and a popular destination for the yachting community. All year round, travelers from all over the world come here to become real yachtsmen and cruise the Turkish coast for a week.

From this charming location, your cruise will set off. Check-in on the yacht usually takes place around 14:00. Until then, we suggest you stock up on food at a nearby store and change the required amount of money for Turkish Liras if needed. The Turkish liras can be very useful for paying restaurant bills in the coastal towns with no or unsuitable cash exchangers. Once you board the boat, you will meet your captain, listen to a safety briefing, and start to settle in.

Once you’re ready, we recommend that you don't hesitate and set off right away to a new destination. This way, the first dinner will be on board the yacht, and you will arrive at the anchorage in the late evening.

The very first morning of your cruise, you will find yourself in a location that is absolutely unique in its beauty. Not far from the anchorage, you will find a resort village called Oludeniz that offers a variety of leisure activities and natural attractions for all kinds of preferences. The most active travelers can take a funicular ride to the summit of Babadag Mountain and experience the local highlight — a flight on a paraglider. For those who prefer a more relaxing type of vacation, we recommend visiting the famous «Blue Lagoon» beach or taking a tour to the mysterious ghost village of Kayakoy and experiencing the enchanting atmosphere of the area.

If you would like to really fill your day with as many experiences as possible, we suggest asking the skipper to check out the Butterfly Valley. This wild canyon has gained its popularity due to its habitat for more than 100 species of these beautiful creatures. Butterflies can be spotted between June and September, but there's still a lot to see during other seasons as well. This small beach is surrounded by steep cliffs, and there are several beautiful waterfalls inside the canyon. It is almost impossible to get to this place by land, so it is definitely worth checking out.

You will spend almost the whole day in Oludeniz, and in the evening you will leave for another location, where you will be able to set ashore and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Your first half of the day will be spent in Kalkan, which takes you from Turkey to Greece for a short while. A little over a hundred years ago, the city was entirely populated by Greeks, who gave the place a certain charm. We advise reserving some time for strolling the narrow streets and admiring the surrounding architecture.

Not far from Kalkan, you will find one of the most picturesque beaches in Turkey, at which you can stop for a swim. Kaputas is hidden in a gorge of cliffs, which makes this place both inaccessible and insanely popular at the same time. Yet it is way easier to approach it from the water and enjoy the unique scenery.

From there, the cruise continues and heads to the next location. In the evening, you will arrive at Kekova Island and stop nearby for an overnight anchorage.

The next day starts in the morning at one of the most interesting locations on your itinerary. Kekova is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea, formerly the site of a Lycian city. Due to an earthquake, its waterfront went underwater, and many centuries later it became a local landmark. Because of the clear water, you can actually see the sunken city from the boat: parts of walls, columns, statues, buildings, and even some of the household goods. For the most curious travelers, we suggest taking a diving tour and scuba diving around the ancient city.

Right next to the island there is a small village called Kalekoy, where ancient and more recent architectural monuments are still preserved. Here you can practice a little trekking and explore the ancient ruins, looking for a picturesque perspective for photos and new impressions.

From here, the captain will suggest a rather short sail over the sea and proceed towards a real civilization — to the town of Kaş.

Kaş is a picturesque and romantic city on the Mediterranean coast that is literally made for unhurried strolls and immersion in the relaxed atmosphere of a coastal city. We recommend taking a morning stroll through the streets of the city center, stopping by the authentic shops, having brunch in a small family restaurant, and walking up to the ancient amphitheater. Kaş also offers plenty of activities and extreme entertainment to choose from, such as paragliding, scuba diving on a sunken ship, or hiking along a fairly simple section of the Lycian Trail.
You will spend your sixth day in two picturesque places at once. Firstly, you will explore the ruins of the ancient Lycian city of Patara and visit the longest beach in Turkey. Then, you'll anchor around Gemiler Island. This location is a common anchorage spot for cruise yachts and is pretty close to the village of Oludeniz, which you visited on the second day of the cruise. The olive groves, rocky cliffs, old remains of churches, ruins of 4th and 6th century buildings, azure waters, and mountains surrounding the island are only a small fraction of what this deserted island has to offer.

It is thought that Gemiler Island has one of the best views of the night sky, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity and spend a couple of hours stargazing.

Early in the morning, you will leave Gemiler Island and embark on the long sail to Fethiye. The journey will take you quite a while; during that time, you can share your impressions with the rest of your cruise group and try to reflect on everything that you have experienced over the past week.

Towards the evening, you will arrive at the city and have a chance to explore it thoroughly. For example, promenade through the center and the waterfront, purchase some souvenirs for your loved ones, and celebrate the ending of the cruise in one of the local restaurants or visit the famous fish market, where fresh seafood and fish will be cooked for you right on the spot.

Your wonderful yacht cruise has come to an end. Around 9:00, you will bid goodbye to the captain and end your unique yacht voyage.

Of course, because charter cruises are suitable for everyone and don't require any special preparation. During the trip, the captain will guide you and help you dive into the world of yachting. And if you have any questions before the cruise, your personal manager is always there to answer them.
It is the same as with any other vehicle you rent. You leave a security deposit of between €1500 and €5000 before the cruise, and you can get it back as soon as the voyage is over. The more expensive the boat, the higher the deposit.
This cruise is personalized, so there will be no problem changing your itinerary. You can discuss a more convenient departure point or consult regarding stopovers with your personal manager. The manager will review the route with the captain and suggest alternatives.
The trip takes place on the sea coast of Turkey, where even during the winter, the air temperature usually does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius and the sea cools down rather slowly. The primary yachting season starts in April and ends in late November. But even during the remaining four months, there are plenty of activities for travelers to do besides swimming and sunbathing.
Our team is partnered with some of the toughest and most professional sailors who have been cruising with travelers from all over the world for many years. They know everything about Turkey, will guide you to unique locations, recommend various activities, and if you wish, they can teach you how to sail.
All cruise participants are welcome to try themselves as real yachtsmen or women and become a ship's mate for a while. All you need to do is express your wish to your captain and actively participate in the whole sailing process: help with mooring, try your hand at tying special knots, hoisting the sails, and steering the boat.
During the cruise, there will be several large sailings ranging from two to six hours and many small crossings from one location to another. The cruise is balanced in such a way that there will be plenty of time on land as well as on the waters.
The itinerary of a yacht cruise is designed to avoid high waves and difficult sections as much as possible. But a cruise wouldn't really be a cruise without seasickness. So be prepared for motion sickness, take into account the recommendations of the captain, and take with you a pack of Dramamine. Even those who have never suffered from such issues can feel seasick. The good news is that after a couple of days, the body adjusts to the new conditions and makes crossing the sea easier.
For a whole week, your actual home will be a yacht or catamaran, so you'll spend most of your time there. Specifically, eating, lounging, enjoying yourself, and, of course, sleeping. All boats have fairly comfortable cabins, where you'll spend the night.
On the very first day before you get on the boat, we suggest purchasing all the groceries you'll need, which can be replenished during your stopovers in the cities. Usually travelers prepare breakfast and lunch on the boat and dine at restaurants during the anchorages.
Before the cruise, your personal manager will send you recommendations regarding things you should take with you on the cruise. Our main advice is to avoid bringing bulky items and large suitcases.
